ALLOCATION OF QUOTA FOR RESIDENTS OF ISLAMABAD CAPITAL TERRITORY (ICT)

In compliance with the judgement of Islamabad High Court Islamabad in Writ Petition No. 1648 of 2015 dated 03.09.2015 under which the Secretary Establishment Division and Secretary, Interior have been directed to issue a fresh Office Memorandum for allocation quota for residents of Islamabad Capital Territory.

RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT FOR WIDOW/WIDOWER UNDER ASSISTANCE PACKAGE FOR FAMILIES OF EMPLOYEES WHO DIE DURING SERVICE

The Cabinet Division (Establishment Division) vide SRO 1004(I)/2016, the Prime Minister has been pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in initial appointment to Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper age Limit) Rules, 1993, namely:-

In the aforesaid rules;

After Rule D the following Rules shall be inserted:-

“4-E the relaxation in upper age limit for widow/widower of the deceased government servant shall be relaxed upto the age of 50 years for appointment under the Prime Minister’s Assistance Package”

AMENDMENT IN RULE 4 OF THE CIVIL SERVANTS (APPOINTMENT, PROMOTION & TRANSFER) RULES, 1973

The Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division has S.R.O No. 208(I)/2017 dated 28.03.2017 for amendment in Rule 14 of APT Rules 1973. According to which The Prime Minister is pleased to direct the following amendment shall be made in Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973 namely:-

In the aforesaid Rules, in rule 14, after proviso the following new proviso shall be inserted:-

MINIMUM LENGTH OF SERVICE FOR PROMOTION TO HIGHER GRADES

In case of appointment in BPS-17, 18, 19, 20 or 21 are made either by promotion or by initial appointments through Federal Public Service Commission, their promotions to higher grades strictly regulated in accordance with Rule 8 of Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973, which clearly illustrate that no person is promoted or transferred to a post unless he possess the qualification and meet the conditions prescribed in the recruitment rules for this purpose.

ELIGIBILITY OF SUPERINTENDENT (BS-17) TO PARTICIPATE IN SECTION OFFICERS PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATION

The Federal Public Service Commission has announced to hold a written Promotional Examination-2016 for selection of Section Officers (SOPE) against 45 vacancies with effect from 19-03-2017. According to ineligibility with respect to service, the employees working below BS-11 and those who are placed in BS-17 on regular basis are not eligible to participate in the Section Officer Promotional Examination-2016 to be in March 2017. The Superintendents who is holding BPS-17 on time scale basis were declared ineligible to participate in Section Officer Promotional Examination-2016.
